Yesterday was our Thanksgiving Lunch at work. The food was amazing! We had all the traditional fixings and about every type of pie that you could imagine. I wish I had brought my camera because there were so many crock pots on the tables it was comical. One of the girls brought the best rolls ever - she got them at Sam's Club. So good!
Last night I went to Zumba. I sweat my behind off and it felt great! I am going to try another class tonight at a different place.
I was a bit ticked off over a pair of Carter's jeans. When I washed them this weekend part of the button came off. This was probably only the second time he had wore them so it was obviously a defective button. Last night I called Old Navy to see if I needed my receipt to exchange them or if I could just bring them out. I just wanted to replace the jeans and was hoping I wouldn't have to hunt down the receipt. The girl that answered told me that they would not take the jeans back because they become defective after I purchased them. She said if I brought my receipt in they would let me purchase another pair of jeans for the same price as the original pair. Say what?!?!?!?! That just ticked me off. I decided I was going to take the jeans back anyway. I start looking for the receipt, which was pretty easy to find since it had been less than a month since I bought them. When I find it I was relieved to read right on the receipt that you can return defective merchandise with or without a receipt! So today on my lunch hour I am exchanging the jeans.
Also on my lunch hour I am meeting Josh and Carter at one of the new banks in town. They have a program in place to help teach and encourage kids to save money. We are going to open another savings account for Carter. Each time he deposits money into the account he will get to pick a little prize. Carter does fine putting money in his piggy banks but he just never wants to take the money to the bank. His piggy banks are getting full so it is time to empty!
Only 11 more days until we are upgrading our telephones! I am so excited! I can't wait until we have technology at our finger tips.

What a great idea to have a program like that for kids, love it!!
I have to tell you about my frustrating experience with Old Navy this past week. My son also had a button come off in the wash on a brand new pair of jeans (size 3T). I had the receipt and took the pants back. When I returned them the salesgirl said that the pants had been clearanced out and I would have to choose a pair of clearance jeans to replace them. There were NO clearance jeans size 3T so basically she told me I could have 3.50 store credit! I was SO mad over the whole thing. I had literally bought the jeans 2 weeks ago. So frustrating. I took the jeans back home with me, I wasn't about to give them to her for a 3.50 credit, so lame. I figure Landon can wear the jeans to play in atleast. Hopefully your return experience is a better one (:
Have a great day!
Gosh, I so wish I could have chowed down with you yesterday...I was craving something sweet. Monday's are always bad for me because it's the first day back on the ol' diet (I take the weekends off).
I'm glad you can return the jeans. I never keep receipts unless I know that my chances are good that I will return something.
I'm so excited for our Thanksgiving lunch next week. I love me some green bean casserole!!! XOXO
I love Thanksgiving food! Lucky girl!!
And I hear Zumba is so much fun!!
And I don't know what it is with Old Navy's quality lately. I bought to a t-shirt that started getting a hole in it after wearing it a few times and then I had a cami and the lace totally separated from the strap. Ugh! And maybe that salesgirl needs to have a training refresher :)
