May the FORCE be with you!

A couple of days ago we received a little catalog from Build-A-Bear Workshop. Carter could hardly contain his excitement when I flipped the page and he saw these cuties:

He was literally squealing and jumping up and down. He loves Star Wars and now he wants a Captain Rex outfit from one of his Teddies/Monkey/Dog.

I love the entire concept of Build-A-Bear Workshop. It is so much fun going through the process of making your very own special friend and finding the perfect clothes. I have a feeling that we will be heading down to the big city on November 15th when these cute clothes become available.

I have never been a fan of Star Wars. When Carter started to show interest in the movie and characters I did my best to discourage it. All I kept thinking about was when I was in High School and some classmates dressed up as the characters for Halloween. I thought it was all so dorky. I didn't want my sweet little boy to be viewed as dorky by others. I am learning to put my thoughts about it aside and let Carter like what he likes. I am even learning about it through the eyes of my 4 year old and I have to say that it is pretty cool. I know the names of the characters, what they look like and what there role is. I think I have even impressed a few family member with my knowledge of how to play Star Wars.
